Your guide will meet you at the harbour, and you will board the bus much like the miners did back in the day. During the transport up the mountain, the guide will point out a number of interesting sites, including the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, and prepare you for arrival at the Gruve 3 mine. At Gruve 3 you will dress into miners working clothes, put on a helmet and stamp yourself in, just like the miners did when starting their shift. The mine guide will lead you through this historical place, where mining equipment lies abandoned. Your headlamps will provide light in the otherwise coalblack caverns, as you imagine the life of these hardier pioneers of the Arctic.
