The guests are picked up at the pier and goes out to the first dog kennel outside Longyearbyen where the dogs are waiting. The dogs are eager to go and love to work, so they are already ready to go. You drive out the Advent valley and get to know about the mining history and about Svalbard before you head back to the Wilderness center for something warm to drink and pancakes. There are also plenty of flora on this trip and in the beginning of June - July there are over 100 nesting couples of common eider next to the dog kennel. A great meeting with the animals of Svalbard. The guests will also learn why all the dogs in this farm has their names from the Arctic history.Destination: 162
