This panoramic tour takes in many of the highlights of Spitsbergen. Enjoy a tour of Longyearbyen, named after American entrepreneur John Munro Longyear who founded the town and the neighboring coal mine in 1906. At the Svalbard Museum you can gain an insight into the region's history, geology and whaling and mining industries. See the awe-inspiring Advent Valley with its remarkable inland tundra providing a habitat for numerous bird varieties and reindeer. You also get to visit Basecamp Trapper's Station where you will get the chance to meet our friendly huskies, learn about dog sledging and find out more about the history of the trapper’s and their rough life at Spitsbergen.
